Jacquelle Beauty's sustainability check
About our sustainability
Jacquelle Beauty works with environmental, social and ethical sustainability , with a particular focus on the environment.
Environmental sustainability
Our products are manufactured in China, but we want to be able to set high standards for our suppliers regarding materials and certifications such as Ecocert, COSMOS and B Corp. The MirraGlow lip gloss tube is mostly made of plastic, with PCR plastic and bioplastic being preferred. The packaging is kept small to reduce resource consumption, and stickers with logos replace larger packaging. All parts must be recyclable , and clear recycling instructions are included with the product.
Waste disposal
MirraGlow tubes are refillable , which reduces waste. When they no longer work, they should be sorted as small electronics , as they contain an LED lamp, battery and mirror . These components are recycled separately, which means that metals and plastics can be recovered and hazardous substances do not end up in nature.
Transport
Transport also has a climate impact. We are in dialogue with suppliers about more environmentally friendly transport alternatives such as trains and electric vehicles, and currently only deliver within Sweden to reduce emissions.
Social sustainability
We strive to make the product accessible to everyone , regardless of gender or age, and engage in non-discriminatory marketing . We encourage personal customization (DIY) of the products instead of following short-lived trends, to reduce waste.
Future sustainability goals
As the company grows, we want to start donation partnerships by donating a portion of our profits. The focus is on improving working conditions and combating child labor in supplier countries. We also want to invest our profits in improving our production of the product and making it more environmentally friendly, for example by using bioplastics and environmentally friendly transportation.
For the good of the company and the planet!
